CSA
is committed to working with patients and their referring physicians
to explore all available options in order to achieve the best possible
results with the lowest risk. To expand the options available to our
patients, we continually evaluate new surgical procedures as they are
introduced. These are utilized only after careful evaluation to ensure
they offer the potential to improve patient outcomes.
Since 1967, CSA
has performed over 40,000 coronary artery bypass operations, either
alone or combined with another procedure, such as valve replacement
or ventricular aneurysm repair. Over 3,000 patients have had valve repair
or replacement. More than 4,000 electrophysiologic procedures have been
performed, including insertion of permanent pacemakers and automatic
implantable cardiac defibrillators. CSA
offers a full-service pacemaker follow-up clinic staffed by two nurses
with specialty certification.
